What patients are saying

“I was nervous at the outset but the Sunday Health clinical team was very reassuring and put me at ease. Once we got started, it was actually kind of fun! I felt proud of myself and was grateful to get the results.

Now I don’t have to worry so much.”
Mimi
Sunday Health Patient

"The process was both interesting and fun; it included an online brain test and phone and zoom interviews by Sunday Health clinicians who were knowledgeable, informative, friendly, and very very patient."

Brigid H.
Sunday Health Patient

"With a high risk for dementia, I had a lot of trepidation around cognitive testing. But once I understood the holistic approach of Sunday Health, I worked up the courage to take advantage of their offering. I was impressed that each touch point is efficient, respectful and personalized.

The opportunity to discuss my results at length with a very astute and experienced neurologist was very valuable. And the plan they created for me provides a clear roadmap for cognitive health."

Jeanne
Sunday Health Patient

I recently attended a cognitive screening session with Sunday Health. Totally impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the information shared by the clinician. The initial screening test was easy to understand and do. They were very helpful in responding to my request for additional information and possible referral for a relative out of their treatment area. I would readily refer family and friends to them if their services were needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sunday Health?

Sunday Health is a medical practice dedicated to preventive, diagnostic, and ongoing cognitive care (memory and thinking abilities)  for older adults. We serve patients across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Our experienced clinicians provide holistic care and support for brain health, empowering individuals to maintain cognitive function and independence as they age.

Who is a good fit for a Second Opinion consultation?

A Second Opinion consultation is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have received a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Alzheimer's disease, or another form of mild dementia and want confirmation or clarification
  • Are concerned about the accuracy of their current diagnosis
  • Feel their current treatment plan isn't providing optimal results
  • Want to explore all available treatment options, including newly approved medications or clinical trials
  • Are seeking specialized expertise that may not be available locally
  • Want a new perspective on their cognitive health from experts who specialize exclusively in memory and thinking disorders
  • Have received conflicting opinions from different healthcare providers

Our Second Opinion consultations are particularly valuable for those at early stages of cognitive change, when intervention can be most effective, but are beneficial at any stage of cognitive health concerns.

Will insurance or HSA/FSA cover the cost of a Sunday Health Second Opinion?

Most health plans do not cover online second opinion consultations. This means that Sunday Health cannot file a claim with your insurance plan or provide a procedure (CPT) code for this service.

You may use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for your second opinion consultation. However, all patients are responsible for working with their FSA/HSA administrator to confirm that the service fall into the plan’s allowable expenses (“qualified medical expenses”).
