Sunday Health Cognitive Neurologist

By midlife, many people notice small changes in how quickly they process information or recall details. These shifts can be a natural part of aging - but certain changes may signal something more serious.  If you’ve noticed changes like these in someone close to you it’s wise to consult a qualified medical professional. Early evaluation can make a real difference.

What our patients are saying

“I was nervous at the outset but the Sunday Health clinical team was very reassuring and put me at ease. Once we got started, it was actually kind of fun! I felt proud of myself and was grateful to get the results.

Now I don’t have to worry so much.”

"The process was both interesting and fun; it included an online brain test and phone and zoom interviews by Sunday Health clinicians who were knowledgeable, informative, friendly, and very very patient."

"With a high risk for dementia, I had a lot of trepidation around cognitive testing. But once I understood the holistic approach of Sunday Health, I worked up the courage to take advantage of their offering. I was impressed that each touch point is efficient, respectful and personalized.

The opportunity to discuss my results at length with a very astute and experienced neurologist was very valuable. And the plan they created for me provides a clear roadmap for cognitive health."
Jeanne
Sunday Health Patient
I recently attended a cognitive screening session with Sunday Health. Totally impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the information shared by the clinician. The initial screening test was easy to understand and do. They were very helpful in responding to my request for additional information and possible referral for a relative out of their treatment area. I would readily refer family and friends to them if their services were needed.

My primary care doctor had given me brief tests and told me that everything was OK. But I doubted him. And as I began forgetting names and past events and losing stuff, I became really concerned. After getting tested by Sunday Health, my worries dissipated. Now if I lose something or forget a name or can't summon a word right away, I'm able to smile and tell myself, well, that's the way things go at age 73. What a relief.

Questions?

What is Sunday Health?

Sunday Health is a medical practice dedicated to preventive, diagnostic, and ongoing cognitive care (memory and thinking abilities) for older adults. Our experienced clinicians provide holistic care and support for brain health, empowering you to maintain cognitive function and independence as you age.

We’re a bit different from your local neurologist’s office. At Sunday Health, you receive virtual care (in-person appointments available at our Vienna, VA location) from a dedicated care team, including neurologists, nurse practitioners, cognitive health coaches, and care navigators. No long wait times. No rushed visits.

Where does Sunday Health provide care?

We primarily deliver care via live video and phone calls, allowing patients to speak with our clinicians from the comfort and privacy of their own home. All services are provided through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms, accessible to individuals with varying levels of technological skills.

Our brain tests and assessments are research-backed and clinically validated. They can be conducted online without compromising quality and accuracy.

In the Northern Virginia area?
We are now offering in-person appointments at 8320 Old Courthouse Road, Suite 401, Vienna, Virginia, 22182.

Are these services covered by insurance?

We currently accept Medicare Part B (also known as Original Medicare), Medicare Supplemental (Medigap), Medicare Advantage under most major plans, and other insurance, including Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare, for patients in DC, MD, and VA. We also participate with TRICARE, billing as an approved out-of-network provider.

If our services are in-network with your loved one's insurance plan, there are no extra out-of-pocket costs beyond the standard co-pay, deductible, and other applicable coinsurance as set out by your loved one's plan.

We also offer self-pay options, which you can explore here.

Do your telemedicine services require my loved one to be tech-savvy?

We are committed to ensuring that all patients can easily access their virtual visits with their care team.

While patients participating in virtual visits do need access to a device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) with an internet or cellular connection

  • Our process starts with a telephone call between you and a Sunday Health care navigator.
  • During that call, we ask questions about your comfort and experience with virtual care.
  • Our care navigator can help you access your online assessments, explain how to join the virtual visit, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

For patients in Northern Virginia, we are now offering in-person appointments at 8320 Old Courthouse Road, Suite 401, Vienna, Virginia, 22182.
